BBBS 6th Annual Charity Golf Tournament

August 18th, 2016 was an incredible day at the Annual BBBS Charity Golf Tournament held at Cougar Creek!  The event raised over $125 000 in support of the Boys & Girls Clubs and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton!!

Message from Liz O’Neill, Executive Director Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton & Area:

Whether a child comes to us without a warm winter coat, having not eaten that day, scared and feeling  Save the Date alone, or because their circumstances have not encouraged them to dream big, our team of staff, volunteers, partners and friends like you, makes sure each child leaves feeling and doing better and each family feels a sense of safety and relief.  We know that your decision to participate in our golf tournament and support children and youth in this way is made with thoughtfulnes.  We are so honoured that you have entrusted us to do what is needed to build capacity and resilience in the next generation.  Thank you.

In addition to a beautiful day on the course, Ryan Andrews from Landrex, our Title Sponsor, announced at dinner that they would donate $100 000 to support our agency! In Alberta, we continue to see examples at every turn of the changing economic situation surrounding us and how it has impacted families in our province, and truly, each and every one of us.  Landrex is truly a great example of how Albertans come together to support each other and show the rest of Canada and the world, how resilient we can be and how invested we are in creating a brighter future for our community’s kids.

As a token of our appreciation,  sponsors were recognized in the Edmonton Journal on August 25th, 2016.

We will also be sending you all a link of the pictures from the event over the next few weeks, and posting it on our Facebook page at – don’t forget to “like” us!
